March reading challenge
Silverwood Read 2 Ride
Silverwood’s Read 2 Ride program is an annual reading challenge for Pre K-6th grade students. By reading for 10 hours, students earn a free child admission ticket to Silverwood Theme Park. This reading challenge has become very popular for schools to participate in so they limit participation by a lottery system. We have been lucky to have been chosen to participate for the past 2 years and hope to be chosen again for the 2027 challenge.

the event of the year
The Entrepreneur Marketplace
for homeschooled children
don’t miss out
Vendor Applications
it only happens every other year
The Children’s Entrepreneur Marketplace is an indoor event that showcases handmade, artisan-inspired products created by talented young entrepreneurs. From crafts and home décor to artwork, gifts, and innovative creations, every item is designed, made, and sold by children. The marketplace provides young makers with real-world opportunities to develop creativity, confidence, business skills, and entrepreneurship while connecting the community with one-of-a-kind products and inspiring the next generation of leaders and innovators.
This is a very popular event and in all our past years hosting this event we have sold out of vendor spaces within the first few days of registration. This event is so fun and the kids absolutely love it! You do not want to miss out on participating as a vendor or attending as a shopper.
end of year testing
Discounted Standardized Testing
WA State requires all homeschooling families to annually administer a standardized achievement test. To help our families comply cost effectively, we will be offering a group rate for our members to order online or paper testing. More info will provided in early 2027.
RCW 28A.200.010 (c) Ensure that a standardized achievement test approved by the state board of education is administered annually to the child by a qualified individual or that an annual assessment of the student’s academic progress is written by a certificated person who is currently working in the field of education. The state board of education shall not require these children to meet the student learning goals, learn the state learning standards, or take the assessments under RCW 28A.655.070. The standardized test administered or the annual academic progress assessment written shall be made a part of the child’s permanent records. If, as a result of the annual test or assessment, it is determined that the child is not making reasonable progress consistent with his or her age or stage of development, the parent shall make a good faith effort to remedy any deficiency.
